About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assessor to evaluate learner competence in the New Venture Creation (NVC) qualification/learnership. The successful candidate will assess portfolios of evidence, conduct practical and written assessments, and ensure all assessment practices align with SETA and QCTO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fair, valid, and reliable assessments of learners enrolled in the New Venture Creation programme
- Review and evaluate Portfolios of Evidence (POEs) against unit standard outcomes
- Provide constructive feedback to learners and facilitators
- Complete assessment records, mark sheets, and moderation-ready documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with SETA (e.g. ETDP SETA/relevant SETA), QCTO, and internal quality assurance policies
- Liaise with moderators and training providers on assessment outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold assessment integrity
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Assessor with [relevant SETA, e.g. ETDP SETA] (certificate required)
- Qualification in Entrepreneurship, Business Management, or related field (NQF Level 5 or higher)
- Proven experience assessing New Venture Creation or entrepreneurship-related qualifications
- Sound knowledge of SAQA, QCTO, and SETA assessment frameworks
- Strong report-writing and administrative skills
- Own transport and valid driver's licence (if on-site assessments required)
Advantageous
- Moderator qualification
- Experience with online/e-learning assessment platforms
- Background in small business development or entrepreneurship training
Pay: R600,00 - R900,00 per day
