About the Role


Altwork is seeking an enthusiastic Mental Health Programme Support Intern to assist in the coordination and administration of our educational projects delivered by NXG Enterprises, a UK based education services company — see more at nxg.org.uk. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in education, administration, project management, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in project coordination within the education sector.


Key Responsibilities


Administrative Support


  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative tasks required for the smooth operation of educational projects. This includes managing correspondence, filing, and organizing office documents.


Data Management


  • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date databases using Excel and CRM systems. Ensure all participant and project data are recorded efficiently.


Enrollment and Scheduling


  • Help oversee the registration and enrollment process, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for program participants. Assist in scheduling sessions, coordinating staff rotas, and managing logistical details.


Communication


  • Liaise with educational institutions and stakeholders under the supervision of the Educational Project Coordinator to communicate program offerings, updates, and gather feedback.


Event Coordination


  • Assist in the organization and logistics for events, workshops, and other program-related activities.


Document Preparation


  • Prepare and distribute administrative documents such as reports, proposals, and program guidelines under guidance.


Compliance Assistance


  • Support the Educational Project Coordinator in ensuring that programs comply with local educational standards and policies.


Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Education, Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for educational project coordination and mental health initiatives.
  • Availability to work 2–3 days per week on-site at the AltWork Office, Milnerton Mall.
  • Flexibility to accommodate academic schedules with varying shift patterns, including day, evening, night, and weekend options.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support during critical incidents as needed.

Currently pursuing or recently completed (within ~2 years) a degree or diploma in Education, Education Management, Business/Public Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field
