Sushi Chef / Kitchen All-Rounder Wanted

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Sushi Chef / Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team at a busy sushi and takeaway restaurant.

Position: Sushi Chef / Cook / Kitchen All-Rounder

Type: Full-time / Part-time — depending on experience

We are looking for someone with kitchen experience, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. Sushi experience is a bonus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Duties will include:

• Preparing sushi and other menu items
• Assisting with general kitchen prep
• Cooking and preparing starters, meals, sauces, and sides
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Helping with stock control and reducing wastage
• Working well with the team during busy shifts

Requirements:

• Must have some kitchen or restaurant experience
• Must be reliable, punctual, and honest
• Must be willing to learn sushi preparation
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be neat, clean, and professional
• Must be able to follow instructions and recipes
• Must be based locally or able to travel reliably to work
• Must be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or have valid legal work documents
