The team helps customers on our key contact channels of email, live chat and social media, as well as over the phone. They solve problems, provide advice and try to help wherever they can. They are responsible for maintaining our reputation for excellence. They care about our customers and it shows.

Our business is based in the UK, while our Customer Service team works remotely from South Africa. This is a fully remote position, so applicants must be comfortable working independently from home and have a suitable home-working environment, including a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

We are looking for someone experienced in working in customer service in an ecommerce environment but who will take an active interest in how the customer experience can be improved. We want team members who don't just carry out tasks but want to know why the tasks are necessary, and to be confident in suggesting ways we can offer better customer service.

Experience of dealing with UK consumers is essential.

Team members will be contracted through their own limited company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking inbound contacts from people who need your help
  • Making outbound calls to update people on any stock and delivery issues and to put their minds at ease that it will be resolved
  • Investigating customer issues and suggesting solutions
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Listening to customers and suggesting improvements to the customer experience
  • Suggesting and managing business improvement projects
  • Ad hoc customer service projects using skills such as data analysis
  • Projects using skills such as data analysis

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in customer service in an eCommerce B2C environment
  • Experience working with UK consumers
  • Well organised and strong attention to details
  • Confidence to communicate ideas to all levels of the business
  • Enthusiasm and optimistic attitude
  • Excellent problem solving skills
